How to Do Makeup With a Sequin Top

Whether you're ringing in the new year or dancing the night away, whenever you decide to go for the glitz, make sure your makeup is toned down to avoid the dreaded look of over-accessorizing. A neutral cosmetic palette will help balance sequins and keep your party style classy instead of flashy.

Things You'll Need

• Tinted moisturizer
• Concealer
• Makeup brush
• Facial powder
• Cream or powder blush in a pink or apricot hue
• Neutral beige eye shadow
• Brown or black eyeliner
• Black or brown mascara
• Clear or rose tinted lip gloss

Instructions

1. Apply a thin layer of tinted moisturizer evenly all over your face. A tinted moisturizer will offer lightweight and natural coverage.

2. Pat undereye concealer on dark shadows beneath the eyes. Do not rub concealer in, but gently tap with a light hand.

3. Dust setting powder with a large makeup brush evenly over your face and neck to blend your moisturizer and concealer.

4. Stroke a cream blush or dust a powder blush evenly on the apples of your cheeks and blend towards your jawline.

5. Apply a neutral eye shadow on the lids of your eyes and blend up towards the brow bone.

6. Line your upper and lower lids with a black or brown eyeliner. Smudge the liner lightly with your index finger after application to create a soft and natural look.

7. Coat your upper and lower eyelashes with either black or brown mascara to help define the eyes and separate lashes.

8. Apply a light application of either clear or rose tinted lip gloss. Reapply as needed to freshen up your pout.
