Hanging Glass Orbs on a Teardrop Terrarium

Decorate your tear glass terrariums with simple glass orbs.

Teardrop terrariums are teardrop-shaped glass plant holders that can hang from the ceiling or be placed around the house. You can decorate these with a variety of objects, including small glass orbs. Hang these glass orbs from the terrarium using heavy duty string. These glass orbs can be purchased from any craft shop. Make these terrariums for your own use or give them out to any craft-loving friend.

Things You'll Need

• Glass orbs of various diameters
• Fishing line
• Scissors
• Craft glue

Instructions

1. Measure out enough strings to hang all the orbs you want to hang. Cut them to various lengths so they can hang at different spots on your teardrop terrarium.

2. Pull the tip of one end of each of your strings around into a loop large enough to fit around the narrow top of the teardrop terrarium. Tie a knot to hold the loop. Tie knots in one end of each of your strings.

3. Place craft glue on the other end of the string and place it to the top of a glass orb. Repeat this process by gluing one string to each glass orb.

4. Wait at least two hours before for the glue glue to dry on the orbs before working any more with them.

5. Hang the teardrop terrarium wherever you want. Slip the string loops over the tip of the narrow end of the terrarium and slide them as far down as possible. Arrange them around the terrarium in whatever pattern you want.
