How to Make a YouTube Song Into a Playlist for Tumblr
YouTube playlists allow you to put multiple videos in one place so that you can view or listen to them all together. If you have a blog on Tumblr, you can take a song from YouTube, add it to a playlist and embed that playlist on Tumblr. Tumblr technically has a video post option, but as of the time of publication this feature doesn’t support video playlists. Instead, you need to create a text post and embed the playlist through the post’s HTML code.

Navigate to YouTube and log in to your account. An account is required to make playlists on YouTube. If you don’t have one, you can create one for free by clicking the “Sign Up” link on YouTube’s home page.

Locate the song video you want to add to a playlist for Tumblr.

Click the “Add To” button located just under the video.

Click “New Playlist” in the drop-down menu. Type a name for your playlist into the field and press “Enter.” A toolbar will appear on the bottom of the page.

Click the “Options” link at the top of the toolbar and then click “Save as a new playlist.”

Type a description for your playlist into the field and then click “Save.”

Click “My playlists” in the bottom right corner of the toolbar to go to your saved playlist.

Click the title for the playlist you just created.

Click “Share,” located next to the "Play All" button.

Click “Embed.” Select and copy the embed code for your playlist.

Navigate to Tumblr and log in to your account.

Click the “Text” icon at the top of your Dashboard to create a new text post.

Type a title into the field if desired. If you don’t add a title, your playlist will appear with no text above it.

Click the “HTML” link in the post toolbar.

Paste your YouTube playlist embed code into the HTML window and then click “Update.”

Type any tags you want to include with your post into the field on the right. If you don’t want to add tags to your post, you can leave this field blank.

Click “Create Post” to post your playlist to Tumblr.
