How to Configure CPanel and Build PHP

When cPanel is first installed on a web server, the PHP portion of it is not necessarily installed by default. You can configure cPanel to build and install PHP from the latest version available to your server through a command in the cPanel backend. Once started, this process is automated and requires no special user instructions to complete.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your cPanel administrator account.

    • 2

      Click on the "Software" section.

    • 3

      Click on "Install software."

    • 4

Check the box next to "PHP" then check the box under "PHP" that says "Auto-configure PHP and reboot server when complete?"

    • 5

Click "Apply" and wait for PHP to finish installing and configuring (4 to 5 minutes).
