How to Rip Music Into Winamp

Winamp is a music management program for Windows with full support for ripping music from CDs. The program is capable of ripping music to your computer in a variety of formats including MP3, AAC, WAV, WMA and FLAC. Music you rip with Winamp will be automatically added to your Winamp library and stored in the "Music" folder on your computer.

      Click "Start" and select "All Programs," then "Winamp."

      Click the "Winamp" menu button and select "Options," then "Preferences."

      Click "CD Ripping" in the "Media Library" section of the left sidebar.

      Click the "Encoding Format" drop-down menu and select the format you want to use when ripping music from a CD. Click "Close" after you have selected your encoding format.

      Insert the CD from which you want to rip music into Winamp.

      Click the CD listed in the "Rip & Burn" section of the left sidebar.

      Click the "Rip" button and select "Rip all tracks" to save the entire CD to your computer or "Rip selected tracks" to rip single tracks from the CD.
