How to Crochet an Edging on a Pineapple Motif
Nobody knows for sure how long the craft of crochet has been around, but the crocheted pineapple motif is one of the oldest and most popular crochet designs. Many granddaughters and great-granddaughters own heirloom doilies crocheted in the pineapple pattern. When crocheting the edging for a pineapple motif, it's best to use a simple, small scallop edging so as not to upstage this intricate design.

If you are crocheting in the round, attach a split plastic marker to designate the beginning of the round.
