How to Troubleshoot for Eudragit FS30D
Eudragit FS30D is a milky-white pH-sensitive liquid polymer, manufactured by Evonik Industries. Pharmaceutical companies coat tablets with polymers, such as Eudragit FS30D, in various thicknesses and evaluate the time it takes for a tablet to release a drug. When using Eudragit FS30D, you must use the proper equipment for the transfer of each substrate combination.
Instructions

1
Connect a 2 mm silicone tube to an 8 mm nozzle to ensure a smooth transfer of Eudragit FS30D, PlasACRYLTM T20 and water. Tubing and nozzles of any other size may cause the substrate to clog, preventing a smooth transfer of the film coating.
-
2
Ensure the proper transfer of film coating for Eudragit FS30D by mixing it with Polysorbate 80 solution, triethyl citrate and GMS. Use a 2 mm silicone tube to transfer the substrate; use a nozzle with a 1.2 mm bore.

3
Troubleshoot performance of the product; if you need assistance with parameters for equipment, batch size and substrate combination, contact Evonik Industries. The process of Glycerol monostearate, or GMS emulsion, and spray suspension, are imperative to the application of the substrate.
