How to Make a Child-Size Blindfold
If you plan to play pin the tail on the donkey or whack a party pinata at your child's party, you will need a child-size blindfold. Given the diversity of kids' head size, you need to make a blindfold that can adjust to the specific size of the child in front of you. Also, because kids will only use the blindfold for a matter of minutes, it is wise to use materials that can be recycled immediately after use. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Place a mark with a piece of chalk on a piece of black construction paper about one-third of the way up from the horizontal edge. Cut along the whole horizontal length of the paper, until you have a long rectangle.
-
2
Fold the long rectangle in half horizontally. Open the paper back up.
-
-
3
Cut a small triangle into the paper on the bottom horizontal edge of the paper, using the fold line as the center of your triangle. This triangle should only be about one-quarter of an inch tall at the tip.
-
4
Place the construction paper over the child's eyes, resting the nose cut-out on the bridge of the child's nose. Pull both sides of the construction paper rectangle to the back of the child's head, so it looks like a Zorro mask with no eye holes cut out.
-
5
Size the blindfold to the child's head, making it tight enough to stay on but loose enough to allow for circulation. Staple the blindfold twice in the back of the head.
