How to Make a Good Jungle Theme Baby Shower
A jungle theme works well for a baby shower when the expectant mother doesn't know the gender of her child. The jungle theme can also be tweaked to welcome a baby boy or baby girl. Encourage your guests to bring jungle-oriented gifts for the mother-to-be if she plans to outfit a jungle-themed nursery. Decorate the shower with items to give to mom afterwards such as a jungle-theme or animal-print baby blanket or sheets to cover tables. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Print clip art pictures of jungle animals such as a lion, giraffe, tiger, monkey or rhino. Cut out the images of the animals and create your own jungle-style invitations by gluing them on cardstock paper. Pre-made jungle baby shower invitations are also available in most party supplies stores if you'd rather not design your own.
-
2
Move your house plants to the exact location of the baby shower. Add artificial palm trees and leaves to boost your existing vegetation. Hang vines from the ceiling and let them drape your plants to create a jungle feel.

3
Plug in strings of holiday lights along with your vines to set an elegant mood for the party. Streamers can be hung in place of vines if they are not available. Tie animal-shaped balloons around the room and to the food table for a festive look. Animal prints such as leopard or zebra skin fabrics can be made into jungle decorations.

4
Collect stuffed animals of jungle variety around the room near your decorations and plants to add a touch of wildlife. Stuffed animals give it a soft look ideal for a baby shower. Give the stuffed animals to the mother-to-be as a gift for her new child.

5
Order a cake specially decorated with a jungle theme. Greens, browns and yellows are fitting for icing colors on the cake along with any jungle animal characters. Edible cake transfers are available in most bakeries for special designed cakes. Verify any writing you want added to the cake ahead of time. Check the cake when you pick it up to verify it is exactly how you ordered it.
-
6
Set out jungle-themed paper plates, cups and napkins along with colored plastic forks and spoons for the guests. Set out animal designed snacks such as animal crackers or gummy bears to go with your shower theme.
-
7
Plan out some animal-oriented baby shower games ahead of time, such as pin the tail on the monkey. Scrambled animal names that the guests have to unscramble in a set amount of time is another game. Play a "Name That Baby" game where guests have to match up the animal with its baby using the correct term.
