You can turn YouTube videos into MP3 files that you can download onto your HTC EVO. With the help of an online video-to-MP3 converter you can extract the song from any video on the YouTube website and turn it into a music file. After the conversion you can use the "drag and drop" method to copy the song to your EVO. The converted song is recognized on the file just as other downloaded or pre-loaded music files.

Access Youtube.com and select a video to make into an MP3 for your EVO smartphone. Copy the URL in the address bar for the video.

Access a website that offers the ability to convert videos to MP3s. Websites such as VidToMP3, YouTube MP3 and Video2MP3 offer free converters.

Paste the URL of the YouTube video into the indicated field and click “Convert.”

Connect your EVO to the computer with a USB cable. A cable is included with the phone.
