How to Make a Memory Board With Foam Insulation
Memory boards feature photographs, memorabilia, papers and embellishments in a display, usually at special events such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or funerals. You can create a memory board using poster board or a piece of large, trifold cardboard, such as that used for science projects. For a sturdier memory board, however, use a piece of foam insulation, also called foam core or memory foam, available at home repair or craft stores. This thick foundation provides a solid background to display your photos.

3
Write out your title with markers. You might want to do a rough draft, using a piece of scrap paper. You can also stamp a large title using paint and foam letters or use large stickers.
-
4
Adhere your photos and embellishments. Use a sturdy adhesive, such as glue dots or decoupage medium. Your memory board will be upright, which means photos can easily fall off.
-
5
Add any journaling as desired. Include who, what, where and when so the viewers have more information about the photos. You can type "journaling" into the computer and print it out on card stock. Or write it out on card stock, using a fine-tipped marker.

Tips & Warnings
Be careful with the corners of your foam board. They can easily bend. Office-supply stores have corner covers available to protect them.
