Instructions

    • 1

Cut an angel from a slab of polymer clay that measures about an inch in thickness. Use a utility knife to cut the angel. Use thicker clay if you want a thicker angel, but don't make it too thick or it will be too heavy to hang.

    • 2

Etch the features of your angel using a toothpick. Draw the eyes, nose and mouth. Add lines to create the angel's dress and more lines on the wings to give them texture. Draw lines to give the dress some texture as well. This is your ornament, so make her look the way you want her too look. Poke a hole in the top of the ornament so you will be able to hang it on the tree.

    • 3

Place the angel on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil. Set your oven to between 215 and 235 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake the ornament for about an hour. The time may vary depending upon your oven. Remove the ornament after the baking process and let it cool.

Paint your angel with glossy acrylic paint. Glue button eyes to her face and glue yellow yarn around her face to give her hair. Sprinkle glitter on her dress and on her wings while the paint is still wet to add a sparkly effect.
