Instructions

    • 1

Adjust the wrench to the size of the ring nut on your current shower head.

    • 2

Loosen and remove the current shower head, taking care not to twist too hard and damage the stem.

    • 3

Unpack the new shower head and the parts. There may be a screen and a rubber washer, or they may be contained inside the head already. The screen goes into the stem of the new head, then the rubber washer on top of it. The rubber washer seals the water flow between the shower stem and the head.

    • 4

Rub the bar soap along the threads of the stem where the shower head will be installed to lubricate the threads for installation.

    • 5

Screw the new shower head onto the stem and finger-tighten. Carefully tighten a bit more with the adjustable wrench, but don't over-tighten. Turn on the shower and test for leaks.

Tips & Warnings

  • Examine the current head for the type of threads it has, inside or outside. Take it with you to purchase the low flow shower head if possible.
