How to Change the Quotation Marks to Curved in WordPad

Microsoft's WordPad processing program does not render fonts in the same way Microsoft Word does. Therefore, some fonts that display curved quotation marks in Word will have straight quotation marks in WordPad. If you want to get around this and display curved quotation marks, you can change the style to use a different font for curved quotation marks in WordPad.

Instructions

    • 1

Open WordPad and type the text you want to edit. Highlight the text with your mouse, or click on "Select All." If you want to keep your current font, and only want to change the style of the quotation marks, simply highlight the quotation mark.

    • 2

      Click on the "Home" bar.

    • 3

Click on the font selector, browse through fonts and select a font that uses curved quotation marks. Examples of fonts that render curved quotation marks in WordPad include Italianate, Rondalo and Script MT Bold.

    • 4

Repeat the process for each quotation mark if you only wanted to set the quotation mark to the new font.
