Instructions

    • 1

Set up a folding screen or screens around the washer and dryer. These come in many different colors, styles and made of many materials. Purchase one that goes with your decor and it will seamlessly be integrated into your kitchen. Move the screen aside when you need to use the washer and dryer.

Build a cabinet around the washer and dryer and keep the cabinet doors closed when the washer and dryer aren't in use. Alternately, if you have a small, stackable washer and dryer, place them in an already available cabinet where you will have easy access to them and they can be covered easily.

Put a countertop on top of the washer and dryer. Lay a piece of wood or other material over the washer and dryer to look like a counter. Disguise the face of the appliances by installing a curtain or shower rod under the counter to hold a curtain in a fabric that matches your decor. This not only hides the appliances, but adds color and texture to your kitchen.
