How to Force YouTube Caption to Show
YouTube started supporting closed captioning of videos posted to the website for foreign language or hearing impaired viewers. You can change your account settings so that the closed captioning feature is automatically on. In addition YouTube has added an automatic captions option which translates an audio file as it plays to provide captions. You can also adjust your settings so that the automatic captions feature is enabled. Note that the person who uploaded the video needs to have added a closed caption file for the standard closed captioning to work and that the automatic captions, at the time of publication in October 2011, only works on certain sections of YouTube such as videos in the "Educational" section.
