Instructions

    • 1

Print your invitation information on a piece of creme colored stock card and review possible text arrangements and fonts. You will have limited room for instructions, so the configuration and shape of your text block affects other aspects of the invitation layout.

    • 2

Paste a strip of ribbon under each edge of the caramel stock card to create a border. Use a glue stick or rubber cement instead of liquid glue which causes sliding and warping.

    • 3

Cut out the printed text block from the creme-colored stock card and paste it to the left side of the caramel stock card.

    • 4

Paste a scrapbook monkey next to the block of text. Angle the monkey toward the text block. You'll find a few varieties of scrapbook-ready monkeys at any major craft store in the scrap booking section.

    • 5

Tie a small bow from the creme-ribbon and add a dot of craft glue in the center-knot for extra security. Attach the bow to the caramel stock card, above the monkey and text box, using a small dot of craft glue.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add other scrapbook items such as bananas or palm trees for a different style of invitation.

  • Substitute yellow ribbon for creme around the border.

  • Always make a prototype of your invitation first and make any necessary adjustments before making the remaining dozen. This will prevent you from accidentally ruining 24 invitations worth of supplies with the same mistake.
