How to Get Visited Links to Show in iWeb

When you’re browsing online and a particular page contains a bunch of links, it’s easy to forget which you’ve clicked and which you haven’t. You can make things easier on visitors to your site by setting your links to show when they’ve already been visited. Changing the link color and removing or adding an underline are two of the ways you can distinguish visited links from non-visited links. If you’re using Apple’s iWeb, you can edit your visited links settings in the Link Inspector.

Instructions

    • 1

Open iWeb on your Mac and then click the page for which you want to edit visited link settings in the column on the left. Find the link you want to change and then double-click to enter the edit text mode.

    • 2

Highlight the link text with your mouse.

    • 3

Click the Link Inspector tab in the Inspector window. If you don’t see the Inspector window, click View in the top menu bar and select Show Inspector.

    • 4

      Click the Format tab.

    • 5

Click the underline icon next to Visited Links to remove the underline from visited links.

    • 6

Click the color tab next to Visited Links to change the color for visited links.

    • 7

Click “Use for new links on page” to apply your new visited link settings to all new links on the page.
