How to Make a Dreadlock Scalp Spray
The more dreadlocks are washed, the better chance they have of coming undone. This causes most people who have dreadlocks to wash them infrequently. Often the person's scalp may itch between washings. A vinegar-water spray can help to keep the scalp clean, while offering some relief from the constant itching. If dandruff is a problem, a rosemary water solution will help to keep the dandruff at bay and relieve the itch. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Spray bottle
- 2 tbsp. vinegar
- Dried rosemary
- Saucepan
- Strainer
- Cotton balls

Put 1 cup of water into a spray bottle. Add 2 cups of vinegar to the bottle, put the lid on, and shake it well.

Spray the vinegar solution on your scalp, in between the dreadlocks. Allow it to stay on your scalp for 10 minutes.

Rinse the vinegar off your scalp. This should stop your scalp from itching for a few days.
Dandruff

Place a large can full of dried rosemary in a sauce pan. Fill the can with water, covering the rosemary completely. Pour an additional inch of water in the can.

Put a lid on the saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and allow it to simmer for 20 minutes. The liquid will turn a dark tea color.

Strain the liquid through a strainer into a bowl and allow it to cool to room temperature.

Dip a cotton ball into the liquid and rub it on your scalp between the dreadlocks. This will eliminate your dandruff. There is no need to rinse it out.

Tips & Warnings
If the vinegar solution isn't working as well as you'd like, try again adding an additional tablespoon of vinegar.
Avoid getting the vinegar into your eyes.
