How to Flip/Invert Letters in InDesign
Adobe’s Photoshop and Illustrator have relatively simple tools for flipping images both vertically and horizontally, but performing the same task in InDesign takes a little bit of creative tweaking. If you want to flip and invert just one letter out of a given word, you will need to edit the specific attributes of that letter separate from the rest of the document. You cannot flip a letter while it is linked to other letters in a word, but once it is on its own, you can force it to invert.
Instructions

1
Click the Selection tool and select the letter you want to flip.
-
2
Un-check the “Link” button in on the Control Palette. You will find it right next to the “Scaling Field” boxes.
-
-
3
Click the “100%” measurement in either of the scaling field boxes.
-
4
Change the value from “100%” to “-100%.” When you scale the letter into the negative range, it automatically inverts.
