How to Make Satin Puff Fabric Rosettes
Satin puff fabric rosettes are miniature roses made from satin ribbon. Rosettes are used for a variety of craft projects. They beautifully decorate and accessorize clothing, jewelry and other homemade items, such as stationery or cards. Make a satin puff fabric rosette with satin ribbon and string. Since there is no needlework required, this project is very beginner-friendly.

1
Cut a 20-inch piece of narrow ribbon. Use half-inch ribbon for a fuller flower. Use quarter-inch wide ribbon for a sparser flower. Accordion fold the ribbon by folding 2-inch strips back and forth, layering the folds on top of each other.

Pinch the middle of the folded ribbon between two fingers, and, using the other hand, tie a string around the middle of the ribbons. Knot the string tightly in a double knot on the bottom of the folded ribbon. Cut excess string with a pair of scissors.

Use your fingers to spread out the folds of the ribbon on each side of the knot to give the flower dimension and puff. Arrange the folds in all directions for a balanced and uniform look. Sprinkle the rosette with glitter, if desired, to give it a little sparkle.
