Amazon.com's Kindle is an electronic reading device that can be used at home or on-the-go. The Kindle can download books, magazines, newspapers and blogs, wirelessly to the device. The device comes in 3G and Wi-Fi models. As of September 2011, the Kindle features a keyboard in the common QWERTY layout, allowing you to capitalize letters by using the "Shift" key. Enter text to search available titles, browse the reading selection itself, type emails and more.

      Place the Kindle's cursor in a text entry box.

      Press and release the "Shift" key on the bottom-left of the Kindle's keyboard. The Shift key is designated by an upward arrow.

      Press a letter on the keyboard and it will be capitalized.

Tips & Warnings

  • Press and hold the "Shift" key while typing, to capitalize multiple letters. Release the key to type lowercase letters.
