How to Read a Nook Color in Daylight
The Nook Color contains an LCD display that allows you to view ebooks and digital publications in a variety of light settings including daylight, in a dark room and low-light environments. The Nook also includes a brightness control that lets you adjust the amount of light emitting from the device. The brightness control is handy when using the Nook Color outside in various levels of daylight.

Tap the status bar containing the battery status indicator on the bottom of your Nook Color’s screen. The device’s “Quick Settings” menu will open.
-
-
3
Tap the down arrow next to "Brightness." Swipe the gray slider control to the right or left to adjust the brightness to your liking. Tap "OK" to accept the setting.
-
4
Tap the icon containing multiple lines in the upper right hand corner of your Nook Color’s screen. The “Options” menu will open. Tap "More options" and then "Settings."
-
5
Type "Text size" in the dialog box and then type "Large" or "Huge" to change the size of your publication’s text so you can read it better in the daylight. Tap "OK" to accept the change.
