Rinse the knife block thoroughly with clean water. Make sure you get all the peroxide and soap out of the slots. Turn it upside down on your counter to dry. Ensure that the block is completely dry before replacing the knives.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can substitute the peroxide with a diluted bleach solution or vinegar to kill bacteria.

  • Always clean knives before putting them in the block. Ensure that they are dry too.

  • Store your knife block away from your range. This will prevent dust, oil and debris from getting into the slots.

  • You can oil the outside of your knife block with wood oil to help it to keep its original condition and prevent cracking.
