How to Get Wavy Hairdos With Volume

• Light hold hairspray
• Large barrel curling iron

Instructions

Effortless Waves for Naturally Wavy Hair

1. 

   If you have naturally easy hair, you can let it air dry.

   Wash and dry hair as usual. Towel dry hair.

2. Apply volumizing mousse to the roots of hair and scrunch gently, working your way down to the tips.

3. Allow hair to air dry into natural waves. Once the hair is dry, run your fingers through your hair to gently tousle and separate the waves. Spritz a small amount of light-hold hairspray onto your hair to tame fly-away hairs.

From Straight Hair to Volumized Waves

1. 

   You can still get a volumized, wavy hairdo even if you have straight hair.

   Wash and dry hair as usual. Avoid using a heavy conditioner, which will weigh hair down. Towel dry your hair.

2. Apply volumizing mousse to the roots of hair while the hair is still damp.

3. Allow your hair to air dry. If you're pressed for time, you can blow dry it but that tends to straighten the hair even further.

4. Curl your hair in half-inch sections using a large barrel curling iron. Only briefly allow the hair to set on the curling iron. You want waves, not curls. Continue curling half-inch sections until all of your hair is curled.

5. Run your fingers through your hair gently to separate and loosen the waves. Mist a light hold hairspray all over your hair to give the style staying power.

Tips & Warnings

• If you want extra volume, tease your hair. Lift up a small section of hair and gently back comb it near the roots using a boar-bristle hairbrush. Smooth it back in place and apply hair spray.
