How to Make the Preview Image Show Up When Attaching a Link on Facebook

Facebook has a feature that displays a thumbnail image when you share a website on your Wall. If the page has multiple images, you scroll through the thumbnail image you want to use and the Facebook system displays the thumbnail along with the link you include on your Wall. The thumbnail can be a logo or image included in the website page's content.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a Web browser and log in to your Facebook account.

    • 2

Copy and paste the website URL you want to post on your Wall. When you copy the link to your Wall, an initial thumbnail image is displayed with an arrow button below the image if you want to choose another image on the page.

    • 3

Click the arrow button below the image to choose another thumbnail. After you have chosen the thumbnail, click the "Share" button to post the link with the thumbnail.

    • 4

Open another Web browser tab and log in to your Facebook account. Paste the copied link to your Wall. Notice the link automatically displays the thumbnail image on your Wall.
