How Can I Get a Class on YouTube & How Do I Get Started?
Most YouTube members are content to watch, favorite and comment on other users' videos. But if you like to be in front of the camera or have content to show to others you can put yourself in a category, such as Director, Musician or Comedian and post your own videos to the site. It's all free and you can start straight away from your regular YouTube account.

Log in to Youtube.com and click your name, then select "Channel" from the drop-down menu.

Click "Settings" on your channel page.

Select a channel type or class from the drop-down menu. Choose YouTuber if you plan to make ordinary video logs, Director if you make your own films, Guru if you're sharing your expertise on a subject and so on. Other choices are Musician, Comedian and Reporter.

Add keywords, with a space between each, in the box provided,. These are tags that describe your channel and help people find you in a search. If you are a singer, for example, your tags might be "songs music pop rock band."

Click "Save Changes."

Click "Upload" to begin posting videos. Choose the video from your PC, then add a title, description and keywords. Your video will be live on YouTube in minutes and you can start receiving comments and promoting your channel.
