How to Attach a Clay Saucer to a Hanging Clay Pot
Clay pots have several benefits over their plastic counterparts, including increased airflow and durability. The naturally porous nature of clay allows moisture and air movement through the soil, and their weight allows the pots to withstand the elements. Attaching a clay saucer to the bottom of a hanging clay pot allows you to add a beautiful touch or turn the pot into a bird feeder. Use an inexpensive, strong adhesive to attach the clay saucer to your hanging pot.

3
Turn the clay pot upside down, and cover the bottom edge with a thick layer of hot glue or high-quality construction adhesive. Allow both adhesives to sit and become tacky for 1 to 2 minutes.

Center the upper surface of the clay saucer onto the clay pot. Wiggle or slightly move the saucer until it is perfectly centered.

Set a stack of books or other weights onto the clay saucer. Allow the glue to set and dry for at least 12 hours, before attempting to lift the project.
