How to Make a Good Dragon Deck for "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's"
Dragon decks in "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's" rely on the brute strength of its monsters to overwhelm opponents. "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's" added Synchro monsters so players could special summon powerful Dragons by sacrificing Tuner and regular monsters together. The key to making a good dragon deck is to use cards that benefit the monsters in the deck. The result is a deck that can summon dragons quickly and protect them from enemy attacks.
Instructions

1
Place approximately six Tuner-type monsters, such as Hyper Synchron, Debris Dragon and Magna Drago, in the deck. Use these cards to special summon Synchro dragons, which are kept in a separate deck.
-
2
Place approximately 20 effect-dragons in the deck. These dragons should benefit from having other dragons in your deck, such as Red-Eyes Wyvern, Stardust Xiaolong and Masked Dragon. Include a Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, who can be special summoned to the field by removing another dragon-type monster from play.

-
3
Keep approximately five Synchro-type dragons separate from your main deck. Red Dragon Archfiend and Stardust Dragon are good candidates because they are capable of destroying your opponent's monster and trap cards.
-
4
Fill the deck with spell and trap cards until you have approximately 40 to 50 cards total. The maximum is 60, but you should not need that many to have a good dragon deck. Include cards like Dragon's Rage and Stamping Destruction that cater specifically to dragon-type decks. Other useful cards include Call of the Haunted, which can bring dragon monsters back from the graveyard, and Mirror Force, which destroys attacking monsters.
-
5
Shuffle the deck and practice with a live opponent. Make adjustments in the spell and trap cards you use based on the decks your opponent uses. For example, cards like Mystical Space Typhoon are useful against opponents who use a lot of trap cards because it destroys trap cards.
