Instructions

    • 1

Place the CD on the card stock and use the pencil to trace around the CD to create a circle. Remove the CD and cut out the circle from the card stock with scissors.

    • 2

Prewash and iron your fabric before use.

    • 3

Place the card stock circle onto the wrong side of the fabric and trace around the circle. Cut out the circle from the fabric with scissors.

    • 4

Thread your needle and tie a double knot at the end of the thread.

    • 5

Place the fabric circle wrong side facing up. Fold over the edge of the circle.

    • 6

Place your needle through the folded edge and pull. Use a running stitch to go around the circle while folding down the fabric edge as you work.

    • 7

Pull the thread tightly to bring in the edges of the circle together. Tie off the thread with a double knot to keep the gathered edges in places and cut the thread. Flatten the circle with the gathered opening in the center.

    • 8

Repeat steps 2 thru 7 until you have the desired number of yo-yos for your quilt.

    • 9

Place two yo-yos with the gathered opening facing up, side by side. Take your needle and thread and connect the yo-yos using a whipstitch. Tie off the thread with a double knot after stitching.

    • 10

Continue to connect the yo-yos together using the whipstitch to make the body of the quilt.
