How to Get Rid of "Sent via iPhone" From Your Facebook Status
The iPhone Facebook application lets you use your phone to check your Facebook news feed, update your status and send messages. Because the application is linked to your phone, it recognizes the difference between updating on your computer and updating on your phone. When you use the iPhone app, "Sent via iPhone" appears under your status. If for some reason you'd rather friends and family not know you're posting from your phone, use a workaround to conceal your method of Facebook interaction.

1
Remove the status update from your Facebook profile if it already states "Sent via iPhone" underneath. Locate the post, and then slide your finger to the left across the update. A red "Delete" button appears. Touch to remove the status message with the iPhone tag. There's no way to toggle your actual post settings within the app, and "Sent via iPhone" will appear on every status message you post while using the application.

2
Open Safari and navigate to m.facebook.com. While the Facebook iPhone application recognizes the device and adds the tag, using Facebook mobile is much like using the fully functional online website, only in reduced capacity.

Update your status using the mobile website instead of your iPhone application to conceal the fact you're using your iPhone to update your status. Tap the large text bar at the top of the page to enter your status, and then touch "Share." Facebook mobile allows you to still access Facebook with your iPhone, only without the tags. When you post your status message, it will look as though you were using the regular website to do so.
