Instructions

  1. Removing the Faucet

    • 1

Turn off the hot and cold water shut-off valves behind the basin or pedestal of the sink. Turn off the main water supply to the house if you cannot locate the shut-off valves.

    • 2

Reach under the backside of the basin behind the pedestal and locate the water supply line connections on the bottom of the faucet. Place a towel on the floor behind the pedestal. Loosen the fittings on the lines at the faucet connection with a wrench. Finish twisting the fittings off by hand. Pull the lines straight down from the faucet. Allow any remaining water in the lines to soak into the towel.

    • 3

Loosen the set screw on the underside of the drain lift rod under the backside of the sink with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the lift rod straight out of the top of the faucet.

    • 4

Loosen the retaining nuts under the backside of the sink directly under the faucet, using a pair of pliers. Finish twisting the nuts off by hand.

    • 5

Lift the faucet straight off the sink deck. Wipe the mounting surface on the deck with a rag.

    Installing the Faucet

Place the gasket for the bottom of the faucet base and hold it there. Line up the threaded valves on the underside of the faucet with the holes in the sink deck. Lower the faucet to the deck. Loosely thread the plastic retaining nuts to the underside of the faucet. Check the orientation of the faucet to ensure that it is straight on the sink deck. Tighten the retaining nuts by hand.

    • 7

Insert the drain lift rod through the hole in the backside of the faucet. Insert the rod into the bracket that comes from the drain tail piece under the backside of the basin. Finger-tighten the set screw on the bracket. Pull on the lift rod to check the operation of the sink drain stopper. Slide the lift rod up or down as needed in the bracket to ensure that the stopper operates correctly. Tighten the set screw in the bracket with a Phillips screwdriver.

Attach the hot and cold water supply lines to the threaded valves of the faucet on the underside of the sink behind the pedestal. Thread the fittings on the lines to the valves by hand to prevent cross-threading. Finish tightening the fittings with a wrench.
