How to Import a DSLR Time Lapse Into Final Cut Pro
You can import your time lapse footage from a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) into the Final Cut Pro application to include the footage in a video project. Final Cut Pro provides the tools to edit, add effects and export the time lapse to a format compatible with online video websites or a personal media player.

Connect the USB cable from the DSLR into an open USB port on your computer. Alternately, if you have an SD card reader on your computer, you can insert the card from the DSLR into the card reader slot.

Click the "Finder" application and double-click the "SD Card" icon, or click the "USB Drive" icon associated with the DSLR. Drag the time lapse files onto the desktop of your Mac.

Open Final Cut Pro. Click the "File" button on the menu, select "Import" and click "Files."

Click the time lapse files in the selection window that appears. Hold down the "Command" key while you click to select multiple files at once. Click "Add" to import the files into the Final Cut Pro project.
