1
Choose a concealer with a lightweight, creamy texture in one to two shades lighter than your normal skin tone. The correct color will brighten your face without appearing ashy.
-
2
Dip your finger in a moisturizer made especially for dry, oily or combination skin. Spread the moisturizer in a circular motion on your cheeks and nose, under the chin, up the temples and over the forehead. Make sure to also apply it over and under the eye area. Wait one minute for the moisturizer to absorb into the skin.

Apply a peach corrector if the circles under your eyes are fairly dark. Peach counteracts the greenish-purple color and evens out the skin tone. Let dry. Add more as needed.

4
Dot the concealer underneath the eye with a wand, brush or your ring finger. Tap lightly starting at the darkest part of the eye until the dots are well blended.
-
5
Dust face powder lightly underneath your eyes. This helps set the concealer. Depending on your skin tone, use translucent, white or yellow.

Tips & Warnings
Use an eye cream if you do not regularly use moisturizer on your entire face. Begin at the inner corner and dab the product outward.
Prevent dark circles to begin with by getting at least eight hours of nightly sleep, restricting alcohol and limiting salt intake.
If you wear foundation, apply concealer first.
Help under-eye sun damage by using an eye cream with alpha hydroxy acid.
Heavier concealers made with oil will crease more.
Change concealer color when your skin tans in the summer.
If your concealer is not water-resistant, it will wipe away with tears or any water that touches it.
Refrain from pulling your skin as you blend concealer.
