Talk to everyone you meet. New quests, such as Monster Mash and Monster Collector, are activated by conversations with folks in the Town. Additionally, you can receive quests from Moogles and soldiers you meet in more dangerous areas like the Forest or Ice Mountain. Once accepted, these quests will direct you to the specific areas where monsters await you.

Check the wooden bulletin boards in each area. You can find dozens of new quests posted to the boards in the different stages. At least one board is located in each of the primary zones in the game, such as the Graveyard, Gate and Town.

Revisit old completed areas. If your goal in locating monsters is simply more experience, older areas will restock with enemies after you have defeated the boss monsters. You can return to familiar areas for guaranteed fights, earning experience, potential loot or even just practice.
