Pour a half cup of water into a bowl. Add a half cup of olive oil to the water and stir. The olive oil in the mixture cleans and shines your shoes, which makes them look newer.

Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice into the olive oil and water solution and mix well. Lemon juice is used as a cleaning solvent in this solution; it helps to remove imbedded dirt and tough stains from shoes.

Place the mixture into a tightly sealed container and store it in your cleaning cabinet for future use. To use it, apply a few drops to a soft, clean towel and rub onto your shoes. Let the solution sit for a few minutes, then wipe off the excess with a lint-free cloth. Always brush off excess dirt and filth before applying homemade shoe cleaner to your shoes.
