How to Change Bulbs in a Sunvision 28LE
The SunVision 28LE is a high-powered ultraviolet tanning bed that is intended by its manufacturer, Wolff, for both home and salon use. This tanning bed relies on 28 100-watt bulbs that are specially designed to produce a fast and even tan. The 28LE model is built with a special clip design that makes it very easy for you to access the lamps and lamp sockets whenever you need to change a bulb. Once you access the lamp assembly, you remove and replace the bulbs similarly to the way you remove and replace fluorescent light bulbs. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Open the lid of the bed so that both the top and bottom bulbs are visible.
-
2
Insert your fingers into the space between the acrylic shield and the frame at the center of the front inner edge of the top (canopy) of the 28LE. Pry the hinged bracket of the frame toward you until it opens fully and remains open.
-
-
3
Grasp the front edge of the acrylic shield that covers the bulbs on the canopy and pull the shield carefully toward you until it is fully removed from the frame of the canopy.
-
4
Locate any bulbs that are dead or flickering. Grasp one defective bulb with one hand at either end and the other hand at the middle. Turn the bulb 1/4-turn toward you and pull on it gently from the center to remove it from its right and left sockets. Repeat for any remaining bulbs that need replacement.
-
5
Position a new authorized replacement bulb so that the pins on the ends of the bulbs line up with both socket slots. Insert the pins into the slots by gently pushing the bulb at both ends, and turn the bulb 1/4-turn away from you to seat it in place. Repeat for any additional replacement bulbs.
-
6
Slide the acrylic shield back into the slots on the sides of the canopy and carefully push it in until it can go no further. Push the hinged front bracket down until it locks over the acrylic shield.
-
7
Insert your fingers under the center of the top of the hinged bracket that holds the front edge of the acrylic shield onto the bottom (bench) of the 28LE. Pull the bracket upward and toward you until it remains open. Grasp the front end of the bench acrylic shield and carefully pull it toward you to remove it.
-
8
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for all defective bulbs in the bottom (bench) sockets of the tanning bed. Slide the acrylic shield back into the slots at the side of the frame of the bench and then push it all the way forward until it no longer moves. Push the front hinged bracket over the front of the bench and press on it until it locks into place.
