Instructions

    • 1

Cut images from scrapbook paper, computer-generated prints, newspaper, magazines, books or fabric. Trim the small-detailed images with a craft knife.

    • 2

Protect the surfaces of the room and its floors from dripping decoupage glue. Place drop cloths over furniture and carpet. Clean the ceiling with a home cleansing agent and hot water. Allow the ceiling to dry.

    • 3

Turn the image over, so the front is face-down. Apply an even coat of decoupage glue & sealer, a combination product available at arts and crafts and hobby stores, to the backside of the image with a paintbrush.

    • 4

Climb the self-standing ladder carefully, with the image in hand. Press the image firmly on the ceiling so the glue adheres properly. Run your fingers over the image's surface to remove wrinkles and bubbles. Apply as many images as desired.

    • 5

Mount the ladder again, bringing the bottle of decoupage glue & sealer with you, after the images are dry and adhered to the ceiling. Apply a coat of decoupage glue & sealer over the surface of each image. Flatten wrinkles and bubbles with the paintbrush.
