If your hair is prone to drying out, use a leave-in conditioner. Straighten your hair using the hair straightener. Your hair does not have to be perfectly straight, but should be relatively free of curls. Your hair will be longer straightened than curly.

2
Gather a small amount of hair in your hand. The longer your hair is, the wider the base of the spike will need to be. Pull your hair out and apply gel or glue to the roots. Holding the hair straight, use the blow dryer to dry the gel. When the base of the spike can stand on its own, apply gel to the ends. Use the blow dryer to dry the tip of the hair.

To remove the hair product in the shower, massage shampoo into the roots and through the tips of your hair. It may take more than one shampoo to remove all of the gel from your hair.

Tips & Warnings
Unflavored gelatin dissolved in water can also be used as a gel.
If the process dries out your hair, use a deep conditioner or leave-in conditioner to reduce damage to your hair.
Using a hair straightener can damage your hair.
If using glue, only use non-toxic water soluble glue. Glue that does not dissolve in water will leave your hair a mess when you try to remove the glue.
