How to Crochet a Sarong
Making your own crocheted sarong for beachwear is a simple way to customize your look. The color and the length of the sarong can be chosen based on your style and comfort level. A well-made sarong makes a gorgeous addition not only to your beach wear, but you can also wear a sarong with jeans or leggings for regular wear. Remember to match your crochet hook size with the weight of your yarn. The yarn package will tell you what size hook to need. A light yarn will create a looser stitch and an airier sarong.

Tips & Warnings
To work a half double crochet, yarn over the hook, insert into the stitch, yarn over and pull through the stitch. You will now have three loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all three loops at once.
If you want a much looser stitch, you can use a larger hook size than that recommended by your yarn weight.
