How to Make a Double Crochet on a Triple Crochet
The double triple crochet stitch -- abbreviated dbltrc or just dtr -- makes a stitch that has four loops around the stitch post as compared to the two loops around a regular double crochet stitch and the three loops around a regular triple crochet stitch. The double triple is a quadruple crochet stitch and is the next stitch up in length from the triple crochet. Triple doubles are a lacy stitch used in loose afghans and lace patterns. To start a row of double triples, chain four after your turn.
