How to Hemstitch With Crocheting
Hemstitching provides a finishing touch to a blanket or other cloth item. Some baby blankets come with holes placed about 1/2 inch from the edge of the blanket specifically designed for this purpose. The holes are spaced about 1/4 inch apart, and you crochet into the holes, around the outside of the blanket, to add a decorative finish and personal touch to a plain blanket. This is often used on baby blankets. If your blanket has no holes, you have to add them with a hemstitch machine. The hemstitch is a simple crochet stitch, providing you with a method to finish a baby blanket in a few hours.
