How to Put PS3 as Your Clan Tag

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” was the first video game to introduce using a “Clan Tag” to separate players into specific groups, or clans. Since then, all the “Call of Duty” games have used the same method for grouping players together. If you play “Call of Duty” on your PlayStation 3 and would like to set “PS3” as your clan tag, you can do this by going into your “Call of Duty” multiplayer settings.

Instructions

  1. "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" and "Call of Duty: World at War"

      Press the “Start” button to enter the main menu of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” or “Call of Duty: World at War,” and then select “Multiplayer” from the main menu.

      Select “Barracks” from the Multiplayer menu, and then select “Clan Tag.” An on-screen keyboard will open up.

      Choose the characters “P,” “S” and “3” from the keyboard, and save your settings. “PS3” is now your Clan Tag.

      Scroll over to the “Multiplayer” section of the main menu in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,” and select it.

      Select the “Callsign and Killstreaks” option from the Multiplayer menu and then click on “Clan Tag.”

      Type in the characters “PS3,” and click the “Done” button to save your settings. “PS3” is now your Clan Tag.

      Click on “Multiplayer” in the main menu of “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” and then choose “Player Match” from the Multiplayer menu.

      Select “Playercard,” and then choose the “Clan Tag” option.

      Click on the “Edit Clan Tag” button, and enter in the characters “PS3.” Press the “Start” button to save your settings. “PS3” is now your Clan Tag.
