How to Check Whether a String Variable Content Is Numeric in Java?
The Java programming language is used to create applications for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. If you have a string variable being created in your program, you may need to check and verify whether it is truly a string, which contains alphanumeric characters, or whether it is numeric. If the string is numeric, you may want to convert it to an integer variable and use it in your code, or keep it as a string, depending on what your program does.
Instructions

-
1
Open the Java file in your Java editor of choice.
-
2
Locate the variable that contains the string you want to check, such as "$myString."
-
-
3
Use the "isInt" function to determine if the variable is numeric or not by typing "new Bool $result = isInt($myString)". The "$result" variable will be set to "true" if the string is numeric and be set to "false" if it is anything but numeric.
