How to Harden Shampoo
The only way to harden shampoo is to mix it in with soap and other ingredients to create a bar of shampoo and soap mixture. Making a hard version of shampoo is useful for long trips and airplane flights when carrying liquids is discouraged. It is easier to use shampoo in bar form, it takes up less space, and there is less risk of it getting onto clothes and other objects in your suitcase. Mix up several bars before your next trip, as the process can get messy.

1
Melt three soap bars in a small saucepan. Do not allow the mixture to boil. Stir the mixture constantly to prevent it from sticking or burning.
-
2
Mix the melted soap with 1 cup of shampoo. Stir the two materials together until they form one solid mixture.
-
-
3
Spray the soap molds with vegetable cooking spray. Pour the hot mixture into the soap molds.
-
4
Allow the bars to harden for two weeks inside the molds. Remove the shampoo from the molds.
-
5
Cut a piece of wax paper large enough to cover each soap bar. Wrap the bar inside the paper and seal the seam with a large sticker to prevent the soap residue from getting onto other objects.
