    • 1

Open the refrigerator's door and locate the current water filter. The filter's cartridge is typically located at the back interior of the fridge in the upper-right corner.

    • 2

Turn the cartridge to the left to carefully unscrew the old cartridge from the refrigerator.

    • 3

Remove the cartridge and throw it in the trash. Remove the top from the new water filter cartridge, and line up the cartridge to the filter opening.

    • 4

Turn the cartridge to the right to lock it into place and close the refrigerator's door.

Place a large bowl underneath the water dispenser, and push the dispenser's lever to run the water for five minutes. The water supply filters through the cartridge to push the clear the mineral deposits from the line. The water will spurt out during the five minutes of water dispensing, which is normal when cycling the refrigerator's water.
