How to Attach a Sanding Disc on a Craftsman Rotary Tool
A craftsman rotary tool is a multipurpose implement much like a power drill. It has a number of different accessories that you can attach for a variety of jobs. These attachments include drill bits, screwdriver bits and sanding discs. But these accessories are useless unless you know how to attach them properly to the tool. Does this Spark an idea?

Unplug or turn off the rotary tool completely so you don't accidentally start it up while you are swapping attachments.

Depress the Shaft Lock button on the top of the tool, near the front.

Turn the collet nut at the front of the tool counterclockwise to loosen it without removing it from the tool.

Insert the sanding wheel shank into the collet nut.

Tighten the collet nut back down, then release the Shaft Lock button.
