Cycle through the LG TV's input channels. Obvious as it may seem, the leading cause of this problem is that the TV is simply not set to the HDMI input. Locate the "Input" button on the top left of the remote and press it repeatedly until the TS screen displays "HDMI." Check for a picture again. If your TV has multiple HDMI input channels — "HDMI 1," "HDMI 2" and so forth — you will need to cycle through them all and check for a picture.

Secure the physical connection between the HD device and the LG HDTV. If an HDMI cable has come loose at all, your TV will not display a picture, so trace the HDMI cable from the source device to the HDMI input on the TV and secure the cable. Again, check the TV for a picture.

Replace the HDMI cable with another to see if the cable has simply gone out. Once you've excluded the two possibilities in Steps 1 and 2, the most likely explanation is that the HDMI cable connecting your source device to your TV has simply failed. Replace it with another HDMI cable and check again for a picture. If there is still no picture, you may need to troubleshoot the source device in case its HDMI port has gone out, or contact LG support to troubleshoot the TV's HDMI port.
