How to Defeat Splash Woman in "Mega Man"
"Mega Man 9" was released in 2009 for the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation. A download title only, this platforming game saw the return of the famous 8-bit hero, Mega Man, as he fights to defeat Dr. Wily, his archenemy. There are several themed areas to beat and each features an end-of-level boss. One of the levels culminates in a showdown with Splash Woman, a laser trident-firing mermaid.

Move to the left-hand corner of the screen as Splash Woman descends to the floor for the first time.

Shoot her as many times as possible as she reaches the floor.

Shoot or jump over the fish that shoot out from the right of the screen.

Move back to the left-hand side of the screen and let the second wave of fish swim above and past you. Repeat this process with the third wave of fish that appears.

Move to the right when Splash Woman approaches you from above; she will be shooting her tridents at you. Time your movement so you run past her on her third shot, avoiding the trident's fire and outrunning her remaining shots.

Shoot Splash Woman again as much as you can when she descends to the floor.

Repeat Steps 3 through 6, alternating between the left- and right-hand side of the screen until you defeat Splash Woman.
