Instructions

    • 1

Form 8 ounces of polymer clay into an 8-inch-long coil. Cut the coil into eight pieces using a clay knife.

    • 2

Shape each piece of polymer clay into a smooth, rounded form that is slightly irregular.

    • 3

Place the rounded pieces of clay onto a cookie tray, and bake them in a 200-degree F oven for 10 minutes. Allow the clay to cool for 30 minutes.

    • 4

Paint the baked pieces of polymer clay using colorful acrylic paint. Use colors that beach glass normally comes in — white, green, blue and occasionally red and orange. Allow the paint to dry for 30 minutes.

    • 5

Paint each polymer clay piece using opalescent acrylic glaze to give it the frosted beach glass appearance. Allow the glaze to dry for 30 minutes before displaying the polymer clay beach glass.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make different colors of polymer clay beach glass to create a multicolored beach glass display.

  • Do not touch hot polymer clay, which can burn skin.

  • Always allow hot polymer clay to cool completely before handling it.
